Weather Awareness School is a weather education and training service run by meteorologist Don Luehrs.  Don has thirty years of professional meteorology experience. He has worked for Accu-Weather, Incorporated, The Weather Channel cable network, and for nineteen years he was chief meteorologist for WBTW News13, the CBS affiliate in Florence and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Don is known for taking a complex and potentially dangerous weather situation and making it easy to understand and less threatening.  He did this for his viewers countless times through two decades of hurricanes, tornado outbreaks, severe thunderstorms, and winter weather.  He knows the value of being weather aware, and has made it his mission to leave everyone he trains ready for the next weather emergency.

Programs and seminars by Don and Weather Awareness School can be tailored to your exact needs and concerns.  Sessions can be as short and simple as a twenty minute talk, to as complete and full-coveraged as an all day seminar.  Topics available include tropical storms and hurricanes, tornadoes, thunderstorm and lightning safety, flood safety, hot weather and water safety, and winter weather.  Other topics include global warming, television/media coverage and any other weather related subject that is of concern to you.
